Abstract

Presented is a parallel-search PN code acquisition approach for the TDRSS MA (Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System Multiple-Access) return subsystem. This method incorporates techniques which counteract the effects of Doppler and data symboling. The probability of correct acquisition is analyzed, and a hardware design using current high-speed correlator chip technology is exhibited.
